And yes, I was able to visit all everything I drew in my journal and more.ĭid the Universe really conspired? Yes, I thought so then but looking back, I now know that dreams don’t come true if we don’t do the work, put ourselves out there and take that terrifying first step. I applied for an Artist Residency in April and got accepted in Finland. I built my portfolio for my application to Artist Residency and ticked one of my dreams in the process - to exhibit my work at an art fair. I guess this was the year when I really decided I will DO SOMETHING about my dreams. I couldn’t contain it I had to draw it! I was even more terrified when I decided to put “Europe 2017” without any concrete idea on how I’m gonna accomplish this dream.Įventually, 2017 came. The dream of an artist residency and backpacking solo in Europe felt stronger in me towards the end of 2016. I was able to tick off some of my dreams/goals in 2016: art licensing and creative journaling workshops. So this page was like me sending it out to The Universe and internalizing Mr. Those were “scary” dreams because I don’t even know how and when will they ever come true but I wrote them anyway because they are my dreams! Back then I used to interchange God and The Universe when I refer to my dreams and goals. I can still remember how blissful I was while making that page.
